Expecting someone to be faithful to you, when there are no romantic feelings involved IRL, is poor form
Don't really see why... if there's no RL feelings, there may not be much motivation to stay together, but there also isn't any motivation to cheat. I guess it depends how much you want your roleplay story to revolve around your marriage, but *shrug* if your character happens to be happily married and faithful, what does it matter if the players rarely meet? The characters still have a happy married life together which the players can refer to from time to time. Heck, most of what I wrote about Tallonar is my diary is entirely made up, I barely spoke to him for months after our marriage, and none of it was roleplayed 'in person'. The point, however, was that I'd decided Didi my character was happily married, so she continued to have a home life whether or not the player was involved. I guess I see whether to stay faithful is an OOC decision made about your character's personality, there's no 'feelings' involved in it. I know many people don't see it quite that way, but maybe that's why Didi's still married after a RL year, and they're not. :)
