I agree Chase that vouchers may not be the best method to improve education, I just have not heard any better suggestions yet. Some other options that would assist, but may not have any more of an effect than vouchers would be:

- unionization by school or school district, but not beyond that (end the NEA)
- School choice for College Prep, Trades, etc (many charter schools do this)
- Tax breaks for parents of kids who do well to encourage parental involvement (honestly, I hate this idea, but something needs to be done to get parents involved)
- Grade schools on the number who need government assistance 6 years after graduation from HS
